David Dickerson is the Vice-Principal of Finance/Business Manager of Maplewood Academy. He is a graduate of Southern Adventist University where he studied Business Administration with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration. In 2006 David was called away from Healthcare to begin a new line of work in secondary school finance. Since then David and his family have served both Indiana Academy and Holbrook SDA Indian School in Arizona.
David and his wife, Kim, enjoy hiking and biking with their children; Isaac, 11, Ruby, 11, and Jadelyn, 9. There longest hike so far was to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back up in one day in April of 2017. Most mornings you can find them taking a walk before breakfast while the kids play in the long grass and collect ticks.
David’s wife Kim graduated from Andrews University as a Licensed Master Social Worker and worked as a Family and Children Therapist before retiring to become a full time mother. The last five years you could find Kim teaching the children in their home school or at the piano. The entire family enjoys being around academy age young people and the energy and fun that comes along with it.
